Tag der Befreiung

Für die vielen Menschen, die es vergessen haben: Heute ist der Jahrestag der Befreiung aus dem Konzentrationslager Auschwitz. Dieser Gedenktag ist weitgehend unbekannt, doch sollte er alle daran erinnern, wohin national orientierte Diktaturen führen können.

Der Tag wurde auf Initiative des damaligen Bundespräsidenten Roman Herzog zum offiziellen Gedenktag für die Opfer des Nationalsozialismus.
